Dolphin Cove
Dolphin Cove in Ocho Rios was Jamaica's original marine-encounter park, opened in 2001, sitting right next to Dunn's River Falls on the coast — guests swim and interact with dolphins, plus shark and stingray encounters, set up as natural-lagoon enclosures rather than a standard aquarium tank.
Beyond the water there's a Jungle Trail Walk past iguanas, snakes, and birds, a water slide, kayaking, and its own small beach club with a pool — enough to fill a half-day on its own, or pair easily with Dunn's River Falls next door.
Packages range from a Shark Encounter to the Dolphin Royal Swim, typically bundling lunch, life jackets, and shower/locker access. There are minimum height requirements for some of the dolphin experiences.

- Since Hurricane Melissa, the Ocho Rios park has been running on a reduced schedule — cruise-ship days and select hotel-reservation days rather than every day as of 2026 — so confirm it's actually open on your planned date before booking a swim package.
- Book dolphin/shark encounters in advance; walk-up availability isn't guaranteed given the reduced schedule.
- Height minimums apply to some dolphin experiences (roughly 1-1.4m depending on the package), with supervision rules for shorter kids.
