Dunn's River Falls
Dunn's River Falls is the north coast's signature attraction: about 180 feet high and 600 feet long, the falls step down through the rainforest in natural terraces before spilling onto a white-sand beach and straight into the Caribbean Sea.
Most visitors climb the falls in a human chain led by a licensed guide — plan on roughly 1 to 1.5 hours from base to top. Water shoes make a real difference on the slippery rock, and there are calmer side pools if you'd rather wade than climb.
It's an easy add-on to a Chukka tour or a full day out toward Ocho Rios — plenty of guests do the falls in the morning and lunch in town afterward.

- Go early to beat the cruise-ship crowds from Ocho Rios' port.
- Water shoes are worth bringing or renting on-site — the rocks are slick.
- Lockers are available for valuables if you're climbing rather than just watching.
