Original Blue Hole
Original Blue Hole Jamaica is a natural swimming spot in Thatch Hill, St. Ann, about 20 minutes inland from Ocho Rios itself — eight spring-fed pools connected by rope swings, with four jump-off points ranging from an easy step-in to a real cliff dive. An underwater cave on site is used for a mineral-rich mud bath, and there's a waterfall to round out the visit.
It's set up for a proper visit rather than a quick stop: trained lifeguards and tour assistants, guided group tours, and an outdoor restaurant and sports bar serving Jamaican food on site.
This one's further out than most of this guide — think a half-day excursion you pair with lunch in Ocho Rios, not a quick detour on the way to somewhere else.

- There's more than one "Blue Hole" attraction advertised in Jamaica; this is the one in St. Ann, near Ocho Rios, not the Blue Hole in Portland on the other side of the island.
