Stush in the Bush
Stush in the Bush (also known as Zionites Farm) is a farm-to-table dining experience on a 15-acre organic farm in Free Hill, tucked in the hills directly above Priory — genuinely close to Richmond Estates despite the mountain setting. Owners Chris and Lisa Binns have built a real following here, including a spot on a ranking of North America's best restaurants.
The format is a multi-course tasting menu built around whatever's growing on the farm that week — mostly plant-based, with dishes like beet carpaccio, spicy tomato soup, and yam-pineapple croquettes — served outdoors under the trees, often paired with a walk through the farm itself.
It's a splurge and a slow one: the full experience typically runs 2-3 hours. Reviews are excellent overall, with the rare complaint about pacing or price rather than the food.
Good to know
- Reservations are required well in advance — this isn't a walk-in spot, and tables are limited.
- Historically open select days (Fridays and Sundays) rather than daily — confirm current days and times before planning around it.
- Pricing runs well above the area's other restaurants; the seasonal menu can be adjusted for dietary restrictions with advance notice.
